Count me.
I actually had something else in mind to post today until I remembered it’s Valentines Day. or Singles Awareness Day. or the Hallmark Holiday. or whatever you choose to label it as.
So instead of what I was originally going to post, I decided to upload a new “music video” (ish) I made several months back. It’s rough, poor quality, terrible sound, amature singing and piano playing, and one very old picture of myself. ha.
Anywho, it’s the words of the song that really matter… everything else is secondary. The song is called “Count Me” — and I’m not sure who wrote it. So give it a listen and hopefully your ears won’t hurt too bad at the end. ;]

just a few things…
i’m not dead. i wasn’t abducted by aliens. i haven’t gone into hibernation… though it is *definitely* cold enough outside.

i came across this video a few weeks back and found it very interesting. almost amusing. slightly distressing.
i know people take the Bible out of context all the time to fit their agenda or what-have-you, but there are some times that it still baffles me when they do this.

like i said, this blog is going to be over-taken by youtube videos this month. so… since i keep my promises (or at least try my absolute best to), here’s another one for you.
anyone ever heard of Matt Chandler? i hadn’t before i watched this video. he’s funny. i actually watched several of his videos – but this is the one i opted for.

to tithe or not to tithe?
i’m almost hesitant to post this video, mainly because i’m not sure how everyone’s going to respond to it. but heck… i seem to thrive on controversy, so… here goes.
having grown up in a Baptist church, tithing is a main doctrine of our denomination. it’s preached on, promoted, talked about, etc.
the main verses i’ve heard in support of tithing are found in the O.T. book of Malachi, verses 9-12:
[8] Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings.
[9] Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation.
[10] Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.

i ran across this guy’s youtube channel because a friend had directed me to one of his videos. he’s interesting to listen to and he picks controversial topics (which is right up my ally, don’t you know).
it’s about anger. do you have an anger issue? i have a patience issue; but that’s a topic for another issue. anywho…

no, i don’t have a normal Snow Day Snippets post for you. sorry. i haven’t had much time to read the blogs i normally stalk… mainly because i’ve been too busy stalking YouTube. (teehee)
i may dub November “YouTube video month” here on the blog because i’ve found several videos i want to share. i’ll still have a few written posts here and there too. maybe. if you’ve been good. if you’re lucky.
